Emergency Asthma Management (EAM) Course

  The purpose of this short course in Emergency Asthma Management is to provide training and skill development in the area of emergency management for people in workplaces, community groups and other organisations.
   The course is generally conducted over a 3 hour period.  However this may vary depending on group size, previous experience and workplace requirements.

Course Content
1. Asthma in the community.
2. Asthma and the respiratory system.
3. Asthma symptoms and signs.
4. Asthma triggers.
5. Emergency asthma management.
6. Asthma first aid kit.

Assessment
   Immediately after the course participants are required to take a multiple choice question (MCQ) test.

Award
     A certificate of attendance is issued on successful completion of this course.

Venue
    At your scheduled venue in Perak (e.g. corporate headquarters, school, association etc.)

Course Fee
    Free for school children, parents and teachers participating in the Asthma Friendly Schools Programme.  All other participants at RM 50 per person with a group minimum of 6 persons.
